Welcome Friends

Julie in Space - 1962-2009This website is dedicated to the life and loving memory of Julie Hise (1962-2009). She fought on with dignity and grace, like the freebird she has been and shall always be. This site is also dedicated to her loving husband Bob, her family and all her many, many friends.

We celebrate Julie's life, and all the many lives she has touched and enriched along the way. More memories will come to mind, and they will be added here, in the way a loving thought suddenly appears. Memories to hold in our hearts, these are the greatest treasures, those things that money can never buy. You will never be gone from our hearts, never forgotten......the freebird has slipped the surly bonds of this world and flies on to the next.

So Might It Be

Death when you come to me, tread with a footstep
Light as the moon's on the grasses asleep
So that I not know the moment of darkness,
Know not the drag and the draw of the deep.

Death when you come to me, let there be sunlight,
Dogs and dear creatures about me in play,
Flowers in the fields and the song of the blackbird--
Spring in the world when you fetch me away.
